Of the Brits I know and good friends with, they all chuckle at the ‘Superpower’ thing.

We're not a superpower as such, but what we bring to the table can be the deciding factor in winning or losing a battle. Experience.

Superpower is such a tad ‘compensatory'.

From an axiology/value theory point of view, how can one say that a diverse society is better than a uniform one, especially given the negative effects of diversity (racism, sectarian conflict, problems arising from extreme cultural relativism)?

Anyway no Britain has never been in the class of Hyperpower or Superpower, we dont care to be, we're happy being a sleeping bulldog.

No, no, no, no, no. The Brits are happy to sit there surrounded by an invaders nightmare of a sea borne invasion being repelled by submarines you cant hear, cant see, and can blow you apart in a heartbeat.
